Role Overview
Lead reliable, secure, and cost-effective day-to-day operation of IT infrastructure, systems, and services.
Operate and support production platforms and environments delivered by AI & Data, Digital Transformation, and Research & Development.
The role focuses on operating and sustaining technology; it does not own application development, digital product delivery, analytics, AI solutions, or R&D solution design.

Role purpose
Lead reliable, secure, and cost-effective day-to-day operation of IT infrastructure, systems, and services.
Operate and support production platforms and environments delivered by AI & Data, Digital Transformation, and Research & Development.
The role focuses on operating and sustaining technology; it does not own application development, digital product delivery, analytics, AI solutions, or R&D solution design.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 8–12 years in IT operations, infrastructure, service management, or cloud operations, including several years in leadership.
- Proven experience operating secure, highly available infrastructure, production applications, service desk operations, vendors, and critical IT services.
- Government or large enterprise experience is highly desirable.
- ITIL, PMP, Azure, OCI, AWS, CISSP, or CISM certifications are valued.
Infrastructure and service operations
- Manage on-premise and cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and OCI, including servers, networks, storage, data centers, hosting, capacity, performance, and resilience.
- Own service desk and ITSM processes for incidents, problems, changes, and requests; ensure SLA adherence and improve end-user support.
- Ensure continuity and disaster recovery through backup, redundancy, recovery readiness, and operational resilience.
Security, applications, and governance
- Manage day-to-day information security controls and coordinate compliance with AI & Data and governance functions.
- Maintain and support business applications through patching, upgrades, vendor coordination, and operational handover into production.
- Manage vendors, contracts, SLAs, licensing, cloud cost governance, and the full IT asset lifecycle.
- Enforce operational policies, standards, and controls; report service health, risks, KPIs, costs, and improvement priorities to leadership.
