Digital Transformation Specialist focused on GIS, digital twins, and spatial intelligence for infrastructure planning and delivery.
The description identifies Abu Dhabi as the role location and states that 5+ years of experience are required.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain GIS environments, spatial data models, geospatial services, and databases.
- Develop digital twins that integrate BIM models, spatial data, and live project or asset information.
- Deliver spatial analytics, 3D visualizations, and dashboards for decision-making.
- Integrate geospatial data with enterprise platforms and APIs.
- Maintain spatial data quality, metadata standards, and compliance with governance and security requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and mentor junior team members.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of hands-on production experience delivering GIS and spatial solutions.
- Strong experience with Esri ArcGIS and/or QGIS, spatial databases such as PostGIS or Oracle Spatial, and geospatial services or APIs.
- Experience in digital twins, BIM–GIS integration, or 3D spatial modelling.
- Strong Python and SQL skills, including consuming and developing APIs.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI.
- Full professional proficiency in written and spoken Arabic and English is essential.
Preferred experience and tools
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker, spatial dashboards, and web mapping.
- Infrastructure, construction, government projects, BIM tools, and reality-capture technologies such as drones and LiDAR are advantageous.
