SAP Senior Solution Architect, Manufacturing

Role overview

Project delivery support

• Design solutions to complex problems and architect functional and technical solutions.
• Use SAP S/4HANA capabilities and best practices to streamline processes and cross-functional integrations.
• Support production master data and related data transformation needs.
• Mentor consultants and communicate with manufacturing and operations stakeholders.
• Use TOGAF standards, ISO/IEC/IEEE 42010, and SAP EAF to create architecture descriptions and models.
• Assess customer processes and recommend solution optimization.
• Gather requirements and develop functionality across SAP ERP, S/4, S/4HANA Cloud, and SAP Leonardo.
• Manage client and project-team expectations, support parallel projects, document results, and explain complex solutions clearly.
• Analyze customer databases and architect data processing and integration across central and distributed models.
• Advise clients as a trusted partner and support project managers and engagement directors with customer expectations.

Quality control for delivery projects

• Review solutions across manufacturing, production, supply chain, and operations, focusing on critical functional and technical integrations.
• Monitor adherence to proposed solutions, address risks early, assess escalations, and lead appropriate resolutions.

Sales and presales support

• Support sales and presales teams, conduct discovery sessions, and help create proposals by defining scope and assumptions.
• Design solution roadmaps with presales teams and generate follow-up business through existing client relationships.

Proofs of concept and innovation

• Design, develop, and prove new SAP-based technologies, including IoT concepts, from concept through market readiness.
• Apply IoT, big data, machine learning, performance analytics, and SAP ERP integration strategies.
• Develop proof-of-concept applications for scaling through beta and production readiness.
• Liaise technically among customers, partners, service engineering teams, and support.
• Apply Design Thinking and design research to product and business strategy challenges.
• Use knowledge of operating systems, databases, middleware, application layers, virtualization, cloud technologies, and wireless protocols including 802.11 and 802.15.4.

Position requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 10 years of SAP implementation experience across multiple modules and industries, including multiple full-lifecycle implementations.
• At least 6 years of integration experience with other process areas.
• At least 6 years of SAP implementation or support leadership in manufacturing and/or operations.
• Experience configuring multiple SAP modules and working across industries, including manufacturing production and supply chain.
• Experience with new SAP platforms such as IoT.

Location and travel

• Applicants may be located in any U.S. city and must be willing to travel up to 100% based on client and project needs.
