Role Overview
SAP SCM Functional Expert role focused on configuring and implementing SAP SCM processes.
The expert works with the SCM Architect and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Configure and support SAP MM, PP, and WM/EWM processes for procurement, inventory, and production planning.
- Run requirements workshops, document specifications, and convert business needs into system configurations.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend standard SAP functionality or custom development.
- Execute test scenarios, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate WRICEF development.
- Support cutover planning, data migration validation, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Collaborate on integrated solutions and provide guidance and training to users and junior staff.
- Maintain awareness of SAP SCM best practices and ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- 9+ years of SAP SCM functional experience across MM, PP, and/or WM/EWM, including two full lifecycle implementations.
- Hands-on configuration skills in procurement, production planning, and/or warehouse management.
- Understanding of integration with SD, FI/CO, QM, and PM modules.
- S/4HANA implementation or conversion experience is preferred.
- SAP S/4HANA certification is an advantage, and SAP IBP/APO exposure is desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
