Role Overview
Define and drive the architectural vision for an SAP ECC and S/4HANA SCM implementation.
Own end-to-end SCM solution architecture while balancing global standardization with local business needs.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture for Procure-to-Pay, Plan-to-Produce, and warehouse and inventory management processes.
- Lead blueprinting and fit-gap workshops with US and EU supply-chain stakeholders.
- Define integrations between SCM, SD, FI/CO, QM, PM, and external systems.
- Drive global template and localization strategy for phased North American and European rollouts.
- Review functional specifications and WRICEF objects for fit, scalability, and performance.
- Chair architecture governance forums and resolve cross-module design conflicts.
- Lead solution design across the lifecycle of large multi-country SAP programs.
- Mentor SCM functional consultants on complex design and performance issues.
- Collaborate with OTC, RTR, and technical architects on the end-to-end solution.
Qualifications
- Bring 12+ years of SAP SCM experience in MM, PP, and WM/EWM, including 3-4 full lifecycle implementations in a lead role.
- Have delivered SCM solutions for US and EU operations and understand regional regulations.
- Demonstrate hands-on expertise in procurement, production planning, and warehouse management.
- Have experience with S/4HANA SCM, S/4HANA conversions, and integrations with SAP and external logistics or EDI systems.
- Understand global template design, rollout methodology, and multi-country localization.
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field is required; an MBA is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- SAP S/4HANA certification in Sourcing & Procurement, Manufacturing, or EWM is preferred.
- Experience with SAP IBP or APO, Ariba, transportation management, or advanced planning tools is an asset.
- Consulting or systems integration experience with large enterprise clients is advantageous.
