IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Work with EUC to understand configuration data and asset lifecycle management process requirements.
• Guide partners in managing Configuration Items and their relationships in ServiceNow.
• Participate in Configuration Management meetings and provide progress updates on field assets in the CMDB.
• Administer ServiceNow asset management for field computers on a day-to-day basis.
• Review CMDB data to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure alignment to hardware lifecycle development strategy, standards, policies, tools, and procedures.
• Partner with technology teams to gather requirements and understand end-to-end hardware lifecycle goals.
• Write or revise hardware lifecycle and operations documentation, including support manuals and user guides.
• Ensure field computers are properly decommissioned and disposed of.
• Provide reporting and analytics support through dashboards and reports.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in End User Computing, hardware lifecycle management, and asset management.
• 1–3 years of project and process management experience.
• Knowledge of ITAM processes and ServiceNow disciplines, practices, and best practices.
• Effective written and verbal communication, including explaining technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow CMDB Asset Management experience.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Experience tracking IT assets across their lifecycle from procurement to disposal.
• Experience defining, championing, and maintaining processes, procedures, and policies.
• Experience with Power BI, Intune Reporting, or Power Automate.
