Role overview

SAP operations and infrastructure

• Support development, quality, pre-production and production landscapes, including monitoring, incidents and coordination with SAP Cloud Operations.
• Administer HANA databases; handle upgrades, support packages, kernel updates, SAP Notes, refreshes, migrations and maintenance.
• Support backup, restore, disaster recovery, high availability, performance, background jobs, workload and spool administration.
• Coordinate technical activities with SAP, hyperscaler, network, database, cybersecurity and infrastructure teams.

BTP and identity administration

• Administer BTP accounts, directories, subaccounts, entitlements, quotas, environments, service instances, subscriptions and applications.
• Manage Cloud Foundry and Kyma environments, destinations, connectivity and SAP Cloud Connector.
• Configure BTP security, roles, trust, IAS/IPS, SSO, SAML 2.0, OAuth, federation and user provisioning.
• Integrate SAP identity services with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory or other corporate IAM platforms.

SAP security and service management

• Manage SAP users, roles, authorizations, PFCG and security for S/4HANA, Fiori, BTP and integrated SAP applications.
• Support GRC Access Control, SoD, critical authorizations, security controls and audit requirements.
• Manage certificates and secure communications; support SAP Web Dispatcher, Gateway, ICM, SAProuter and RFC connectivity.
• Use SAP Cloud ALM for monitoring, IT service management and system operations; maintain technical documentation and support root-cause analysis.

Experience and technical requirements

• At least 6 years of hands-on SAP Basis and SAP Security Administration experience.
• Strong experience with RISE with SAP and S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition.
• Experience administering SAP BTP, SAP HANA, Cloud Foundry, Kyma, Cloud Connector and SAP identity/security services.
• Good understanding of SAP workloads on AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred experience

• RISE migration/transformation and SAP BTP integration or Integration Suite administration experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of API Management, Event Mesh, Clean Core, extensibility and cloud architecture is preferred or advantageous.
