Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor project Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) plans and procedures.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Perform risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Monitor compliance with company safety policies, project requirements, and UAE regulations.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) across project sites.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss events and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, permits, and safety documentation.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and evacuation drills.
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and compliance.
• Recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety and reduce risks.
• Support management in achieving project safety objectives and maintaining a strong safety culture.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a safety officer in construction, engineering, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and industry best practices.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
• Ability to prepare safety reports and maintain HSE documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• NEBOSH IGC certification or equivalent HSE qualification.
• IOSH certification.
• Experience working on infrastructure, utility, or large-scale construction projects.
• A UAE driving license is an advantage.
