Safety Officer - Building Projects

Loaction - Dubai

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce site Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies
• Ensure compliance with **Dubai Municipality Construction Safety Code** and local regulations
• Conduct daily site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive measures
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions
• Monitor work at height, lifting operations, excavation, and confined space activities
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all workers
• Investigate incidents/accidents and prepare reports with root cause analysis
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, and records
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and consultants
• Ensure compliance with **UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice**
• Monitor heat stress compliance as per UAE midday break rules

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering / Safety / related field
• Minimum **2–3 years of experience** as a Safety Officer in **building construction projects in Dubai/UAE**
• Strong knowledge

• UAE Fire & Life Safety Code

• Mandatory Certification:
• NEBOSH IGC
• Preferred Certifications:

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Immediate joiners preferred
• Experience with contractors or high-rise building projects
• Familiar with Dubai authority inspections
