Position - Safety Officer ( Building Construction)

Loaction - Dubai

We are looking for a qualified Safety Officer with experience in building construction projects in Dubai. The role involves ensuring full compliance with Dubai safety regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and minimizing risks on-site through effective monitoring and enforcement of HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce site Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality Construction Safety Code and local regulations
• Conduct daily site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive measures
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions
• Monitor work at height, lifting operations, excavation, and confined space activities
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all workers
• Investigate incidents/accidents and prepare reports with root cause analysis
• Maintain safety documentation, permits, and records
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and consultants
• Ensure compliance with UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice
• Monitor heat stress compliance as per UAE midday break rules

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering / Safety / related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Safety Officer in building construction projects in Dubai/UAE

Strong knowledge

• Dubai Municipality Safety Regulations
• Construction Safety Code
• UAE Fire & Life Safety Code
• Mandatory Certification:
• NEBOSH IGC
• Preferred Certifications:
• IOSH / OSHA
• First Aid / Fire Safety Training

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Immediate joiners preferred
• Experience with contractors or high-rise building projects
• Familiar with Dubai authority inspections

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
