Home Care Nurse (Male Dementia Patient)

About This Role

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Home Care Nurse to provide dedicated, one-on-one care for a 90-year-old male patient diagnosed with dementia. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in elderly care and be capable of managing dementia-related conditions with patience, professionalism, and empathy while ensuring the patient’s comfort, dignity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and health progress
• Maintain accurate medical records and daily reports
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
• Support mobility and implement fall prevention measures
• Manage and respond to dementia-related behaviors such as confusion, agitation, and memory loss
• Ensure a safe, hygienic, and comfortable environment
• Provide emotional support and companionship to the patient
• Operate basic medical equipment as required
• Perform basic diagnostic checks when necessary
• Coordinate with family members regarding the patient’s condition and care updates
• Educate family members on patient care and condition management
• Respond effectively to emergency situations

Required Candidate profile:

• Nursing Degree, Diploma, or a certified Caregiving Certificate
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience caring for elderly patients (especially dementia)
• Should possess a warm, nurturing, and compassionate personality
• Excellent communication skills

Working Conditions:

• Shift: 12 hours per day
• Working Days: 6 days per week (1 day off)
• Work Setup: Private residence (home care environment)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
