The Runner supports Café KIRA’s front-of-house team by delivering food and beverages and assisting service staff.
The role contributes to guest satisfaction through speed, accuracy, and presentation standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen or service stations to guests’ tables promptly and professionally.
- Check item presentation, temperature, and accuracy before serving.
- Assist waitstaff with table setup, clearing, and resetting, particularly during peak hours.
- Keep service areas, service stations, and pass areas clean and organized.
- Communicate order status and guest requests to kitchen and service teams; replenish cutlery, napkins, condiments, and menus.
- Follow hygiene, safety, and food handling standards; handle guest interactions professionally and escalate concerns when needed.
- Support restaurant operations to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Requirements and qualifications
- Previous hospitality or food and beverage service experience is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of food service and hospitality standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills; professional attitude and well-groomed appearance.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards is preferred.
