The Room Attendant reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor and maintains the cleanliness, comfort, and presentation of guest rooms and assigned areas.
The role helps deliver an exceptional guest experience through immaculate rooms, prompt responses to guest requests, attention to detail, and respect for guest privacy.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and maintain assigned areas according to set standards and procedures; replenish guest supplies.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests; report damage, malfunctions, complaints, and unusual activity to the supervisor.
- Maintain equipment in a clean, serviceable condition; keep room-section and daily productivity reports and record room status accurately.
- Report lost-and-found items immediately and comply with lost-and-found procedures.
- Attend daily supervisor briefings, meetings, and training, and carry out assigned tasks.
- Perform valet services when required, such as linen delivery and processing laundry orders.
- Understand guest levels, including VIPs, and room categories; follow housekeeping SOPs.
- Comply with health, safety, hygiene, grooming, fire evacuation, and first-aid training requirements.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar capacity in a luxury hotel environment.
- Secondary education and good housekeeping knowledge.
- Good organizational skills and a good level of engagement with guests.
