Role overview
The Assistant Public Area Manager supports daily cleaning operations across the resort's shared spaces and helps maintain luxury standards.
Key responsibilities
- Direct daily cleaning operations across lobbies, restaurants, elevators, and outdoor arrival areas with the Public Area Manager.
- Inspect surfaces, furnishings, and decorative elements against Luxury Quality Assessment standards.
- Lead, coach, and motivate Public Area Attendants and Supervisors.
- Coordinate routine and deep cleaning, including marble polishing, carpet shampooing, and setups for VIP arrivals or events.
- Liaise with Engineering, Front Office, and Food and Beverage teams on maintenance needs and guest concerns.
- Monitor eco-friendly cleaning chemicals and equipment and follow resort sustainability and safety protocols.
Requirements and qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years in luxury hospitality housekeeping, with substantial supervisory or assistant management experience.
- Pre-opening experience is a must, including project coordination and document control during pre-opening stages.
- Proficiency in property management systems such as Opera and a deep understanding of specialized cleaning techniques for high-end finishes.
- A proactive, anticipatory approach with ownership and accountability; commitment to sustainability practices.
- Impeccable grooming and presentation aligned with luxury standards; understanding of ultra-luxury guest expectations and brand alignment.
