Role overview

Responsibilities

• Allocate workers according to the daily work plan and ensure work follows drawings, specifications, and site instructions.
• Supervise excavation, filling, grading, leveling, compaction, and subgrade, sub-base, and road base preparation.
• Coordinate equipment and operators; supervise kerbstone, paving, concrete, drainage, and related roadworks; assist with asphalt paving.
• Check line, level, slope, and alignment as instructed by the surveyor or site engineer.
• Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment; minimize wastage and maintain housekeeping.
• Report progress, site issues, and resource needs; coordinate with project teams and subcontractors.
• Enforce PPE and site safety procedures, report hazards, support inspections, and help maintain safe conditions around traffic and excavations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant road construction or civil infrastructure experience and strong practical roadworks experience.
• Experience in excavation, grading, filling, compaction, and subgrade, sub-base, and road base works.
• Ability to supervise workers, understand basic construction drawings and site instructions, and understand levels, slopes, alignment, and roadwork terminology.
• Experience around excavators, graders, rollers, loaders, water tankers, and other construction equipment.
• Good knowledge of construction site safety; good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and willing to work outdoors on active construction sites.

Preferred experience

• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
• Kerbstone, interlock/paving, drainage, concrete, and asphalt experience is an advantage.
• UAE road and infrastructure project experience is preferred; immediate availability or a short notice period is preferred.

Pay

• The posting states pay of AED 1.00 per month.
