QA/QC Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor project QA/QC plans; prepare and review ITPs, Method Statements, and quality procedures.
• Inspect road works, earthworks, excavation, backfilling, pipelines, underground utilities, and construction materials.
• Coordinate laboratory tests and inspections; review MIRs, WIRs, and test reports.
• Issue NCRs, follow up corrective and preventive actions, maintain quality records, and monitor testing equipment calibration.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, participate in audits, and support handover, closeout, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification; minimum five years of relevant construction and infrastructure QA/QC experience.
• Experience with road construction, pipelines, earthworks, excavation, backfilling, and underground utilities.
• Knowledge of quality systems, construction testing, UAE standards, drawings, and specifications; practical experience with ITPs, Method Statements, WIRs, MIRs, NCRs, and reports.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001; strong coordination, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills; Microsoft Office proficiency.

Preferred qualifications

• UAE or GCC construction experience and experience with consultants, authorities, or major infrastructure contractors are preferred.
• Road, drainage, stormwater, utility, or pipeline project experience and relevant QA/QC or ISO 9001 training or certifications are preferred.

Workplace

• The role requires comfort working at construction sites and coordinating with project stakeholders.
