rincipal Quality Assurance Engineer

Job purpose

Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering design and build across teams within a release train.
• Conduct technical design reviews and enforce architecture patterns and quality standards.
• Plan and lead risk-based end-to-end testing across the development lifecycle.
• Drive automation, test-driven development, agile practices, root cause analysis, and blameless post-mortems.
• Develop frameworks, tools, and practices to improve delivery quality and engineer productivity.
• Lead, coach, and mentor quality engineers within a release train.
• Support portfolio and enterprise reporting of OKR progress.

Qualifications

• A degree or honours qualification, or equivalent, with 8 or more years of information technology experience.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline, or relevant professional experience.
• Experience designing scalable quality engineering solutions aligned with Agile Release Train objectives.
• Experience with technical design reviews, architecture standards, risk-based testing, and quality standards across agile teams.
• Experience driving automation across testing layers and leading root cause analysis and blameless post-mortems.
• Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, collaboration, and agile software development capabilities.

Technology and practices

• Testing tools and methodologies may include Java, C#, Python, modern cloud tooling, DevSecOps tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.
• The role uses automation-first strategies and continuous improvement practices for resilient, secure, and compliant Cloud ERP platforms.
