Role overview

Retail sales and account management

• Own sales and business development across modern trade, supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience, specialty retail, and other relevant UAE channels.
• Build relationships with retailer buying, category, trade marketing, and merchandising teams.
• Negotiate listings, pricing, promotions, visibility, trade terms, displays, launches, and annual business plans.
• Develop account sales plans, meet revenue targets, and track sell-in, sell-out, stock, distribution, rate of sale, and promotional performance.

Distributor management

• Manage UAE distributor relationships and serve as the primary commercial interface with distributors and retail accounts.
• Set distributor targets, channel plans, assortment priorities, inventory norms, and execution KPIs.
• Build distributor joint business plans covering revenue, distribution, listings, promotions, inventory, working capital, and marketing investments.
• Review performance, drive corrective actions, support order planning and replenishment, and monitor inventory, ageing, returns, expiries, and receivables.

P&L and commercial ownership

• Manage account- and channel-level commercial P&Ls, including revenue, gross margin, trade spend, discounts, promotional investments, and contribution economics.
• Compare actuals with budgets and identify opportunities to improve revenue quality and profitability.
• Evaluate promotional ROI, retailer investments, listing fees, visibility spending, and distributor margins.
• Work with finance and management on forecasts, budgets, sales plans, and commercial decisions.

Trade marketing and merchandising

• Develop retailer- and distributor-specific quarterly and annual joint business plans.
• Plan promotions, launches, sampling, activations, displays, and in-store visibility; coordinate brand campaigns with marketing teams.
• Maintain shelf placement, planogram compliance, secondary displays, POSM deployment, pricing visibility, and promotional execution.
• Visit stores and markets, identify execution gaps, and work with distributors and merchandising teams to resolve them.
• Assess category opportunities, shopper behaviour, UAE retail formats, and the impact of trade marketing investments.

Business development and reporting

• Identify new retail, convenience, specialty, and institutional opportunities and support expansion into new channels and emirates.
• Prepare pitches, commercial proposals, and launch plans; manage prospective accounts from prospecting through listing and execution.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales and distribution reports and lead periodic reviews with distributors and retailers.
• Provide management with market intelligence, competitor activity, pricing observations, and account-level insights.
