The Restaurant Runner connects the kitchen and dining room; speed, accuracy, and communication support smooth service and correct meal delivery.
Duties and responsibilities
- Retrieve completed dishes and deliver them to the correct table and seat.
- Verify the item, modifications, and table assignment with the kitchen before leaving the pass.
- Carry multiple plates using proper tray or carrier technique without compromising food quality or presentation.
- Announce dishes and confirm each guest receives the correct item.
- Update the server or floor manager about kitchen delays.
- Track table numbers, server sections, and active covers.
- Assist with bread, appetizers, desserts, and shared-plate deliveries.
- Keep the kitchen pass clear and maintain flow for kitchen staff.
- Polish plates, stock pass supplies, and support setup and breakdown.
Pay and employment
- Pay is AED 2,500–3,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work location is in person.
