Friends Avenue Cafe is seeking a skilled and motivated Demi Chef to join its kitchen team.
The role is based in Dubai, UAE, and is full-time in an in-person work location.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations.
- Prepare food according to recipes, quality standards, and portion requirements.
- Ensure food is properly prepared, cooked, presented, and stored.
- Complete mise en place and keep ingredients ready for service.
- Monitor food stock and report shortages or quality concerns.
- Maintain clean workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Demi Chef or in a similar kitchen position.
- Experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of food preparation, basic cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Candidates currently in the UAE are preferred.
Employment and Compensation
- The position is full-time.
- Pay is AED 3,500 to AED 4,000 per month.
