Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Review network security alerts and document unusual activity.
• Support basic firewall rule reviews under senior guidance.
• Maintain network security documentation and configuration records.
• Help identify network vulnerabilities and track remediation tasks.
• Review network logs, escalate suspicious events, and support security checks for routers, switches, and network access controls.
• Maintain records of findings, incidents, and corrective actions; collaborate with infrastructure teams and prepare reports.

Candidate requirements

• Basic understanding of computer networking and TCP/IP concepts.
• Familiarity with DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and network access concepts.
• Interest in cybersecurity and network protection; strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good written communication and documentation abilities; willingness to learn security tools and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a remote team.

Preferred qualifications

• An IT, computer science, networking, or cybersecurity degree or diploma is preferred but not mandatory.
• Introductory firewall or network monitoring knowledge, Wireshark or basic troubleshooting tools, and entry-level networking or cybersecurity certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
• Relevant coursework, personal labs, or junior IT support experience are preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation

• Proposed salary is AED 11,000–15,000 per month.
