Remote Junior Cloud Security Engineer — AED 10,000–15,000 per month

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Review cloud infrastructure configurations and security settings; identify misconfigured resources and potential risks.
• Support identity and access management, alert monitoring, investigation of unusual activity, and secure configuration standards.
• Support vulnerability remediation, security documentation, permission reviews, and least-privilege practices.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering and IT teams on approved security improvements and monitor internal policy compliance.
• Research cloud security best practices and emerging threats.

Candidate requirements

• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity; interest in cloud computing and infrastructure security.
• Familiarity with operating systems and fundamental access control concepts; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation abilities, willingness to learn cloud security tools, and ability to collaborate with a distributed team.
• Handle confidential information and access permissions responsibly.
• No previous professional cloud security experience is required.

Beneficial qualifications

• A degree or diploma in computer science, IT, cloud computing, or cybersecurity is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Introductory knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud; familiarity with virtual machines, storage, networking, or cloud identities is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Understanding of multifactor authentication or least-privilege access and exposure to cloud monitoring or security tools are beneficial but not mandatory.
• Foundational AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, or CompTIA Security+ certifications; personal cloud projects, online labs, or relevant coursework are beneficial but not mandatory.

Work arrangement

• Fully remote, subject to UAE employment and location requirements.
• Dubai and UAE-based applicants are welcome, subject to employment eligibility.

Compensation

• Salary is AED 10,000–15,000 per month, depending on skills and qualifications.
