Help monitor certificate validity, identify potential configuration issues, and support secure certificate lifecycle management.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor certificates and track upcoming expiration dates; maintain certificate inventories and lifecycle documentation.
- Help identify expired, invalid, or improperly configured certificates and support renewal and replacement procedures.
- Maintain records of certificate owners, issuing authorities, and associated systems.
- Assist with TLS/SSL configuration reviews and work with IT and security teams to resolve certificate-related issues.
- Follow security policies for certificate storage and private-key protection.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical knowledge.
- Basic understanding of encryption, authentication, digital certificates, networking fundamentals, and secure web connections.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with good written communication and documentation abilities.
- Willingness to learn PKI concepts and certificate management tools.
Preferred skills
- Basic understanding of TLS/SSL, public and private keys, and certificate authorities.
- Familiarity with OpenSSL or certificate management platforms; knowledge of DNS, HTTPS, and common network protocols.
- Exposure to Linux or Windows administration; relevant coursework, cybersecurity labs, or entry-level certifications.
