Role overview

Change governance and Jira

• Own lifecycle tracking and auditing of Standard, Normal, and Major Change Requests.
• Define and pre-approve repeatable, low-risk Standard Change Requests in Jira.
• Review Normal Change Requests and coordinate approvals, documentation, validation, and rollback strategies.
• Lead emergency Change Advisory Boards for Major Change Requests, assessing risks, dependencies, and resource availability.
• Optimize Jira ITSM release workflows, transition schemas, and automation rules.
• Track production configuration changes and maintain an audit-ready record of modifications and approvals.

Patching, deployments, and reporting

• Coordinate routine and emergency patches with Security and SysAdmin teams across operating systems, middleware, and third-party tools.
• Run post-production deployment sanity tests and document evidence and results.
• Create and improve deployment runbooks and back-out plans for maintenance windows.
• Establish and report metrics such as Change Success Rate, Average CR Lead Time, and Emergency Release Volume.
• Conduct and document post-implementation reviews; schedule CAB meetings and communicate outcomes to senior stakeholders.
• Submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly change and release management reports.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
• At least 8 years of experience in a technology-related field and 2 years in release management.
• Prior experience in a change delivery role is required.
• Previous payment services experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of ITIL Change Enablement, Release Management, and Configuration Management lifecycles.
• Experience governing Standard, Normal, and Major Change Requests, assessing risks and dependencies, and creating rollback strategies.
• Experience facilitating Change Advisory Boards and aligning stakeholders on critical deployment decisions.
• Experience coordinating system, middleware, and operating-system patching across staging and production.
• Ability to develop technical runbooks and report release metrics.
• Collaboration and communication skills.
