Reports to the Managing Director, Relationship Management, and supports senior team members serving current clients and marketing target companies.
Supports corporate finance coverage of private mid-market and small-cap public Canadian corporations, particularly in technology, media, and healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Research companies, financial statements, industries, and markets to support idea generation and client presentations.
- Research current and target clients, provide updates, and support relationship development activities.
- Prepare or manage new-client and revenue-opportunity documentation for internal committees.
- Coordinate with RBC partners to serve the client portfolio.
- Occasionally prepare internal sales material or analyze group operating performance data.
- Support CCG Finance with structuring, delivery, closing, and monitoring of syndicated and bilateral loans.
- Analyze and support internal business cases.
Required qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills, including financial statement analysis.
- Effective presentation and communication skills; high attention to written and financial detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize, and handle multiple projects.
Preferred qualifications
- MBA, CFA, or CPA is nice to have.
- Knowledge of credit and credit metrics, financial modeling, and corporate finance work experience are nice to have.
Workplace and schedule
- The role is associated with RBC Royal Bank Plaza in Toronto.
- The stated work week is 37.5 hours.
