Responsibilities
- Monitor patient conditions and assess care needs; observe symptoms and communicate them to physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses on individualized care plans.
- Perform routine procedures, including blood pressure measurements and injections, and complete patient charts.
- Administer medication and treatments according to physicians’ orders.
- Maintain facility hygiene and safety, including equipment decontamination, surface sanitizing, and bed preparation.
- Provide immediate care in emergencies and assist surgeons during operations.
- Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants.
- Support patients and families with compassionate care.
- Build knowledge and capabilities through workshops and conferences.
Requirements and skills
- 2–3 years of experience; proven experience as a registered nurse.
- BSc or another diploma from a nursing program.
- Valid SCFHS license.
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods, emergency care, and health and safety procedures, including sanitation and decontamination.
- Willingness to follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Teamwork, communication, interpersonal, responsibility, and compassion.
- Strong organization, multitasking, patience, and problem-solving skills.
