Develop and maintain products by preparing, testing, and evaluating coatings, binders, and raw materials.
Support R&D strategy and technical competence through robust, data-driven development work and knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities
- Own assigned products, assets, projects, tasks, and global transfers end-to-end, including planning, formulation, testing, validation, and documentation.
- Execute projects independently, coordinate larger tasks, meet timelines and quality targets, and provide data-based technical recommendations.
- Support compliance with international performance and certification requirements through test planning, execution, and interpretation.
- Contribute to global and regional innovation projects, focusing on sustainability-driven development.
- Coach junior chemists and technicians; support knowledge transfer and competence building.
- Follow HSEQ requirements and governance, documenting raw materials, formulations, and test results.
What we look for
- Master’s degree plus at least 10 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree plus at least 12 years, or PhD plus at least 5 years.
- Strong protective coatings formulation knowledge, including binder systems and curing chemistries.
- Performance validation experience, including weathering, corrosion, or accelerated testing, and strong knowledge of international test methods and standards.
- Ability to manage tasks and projects independently with structure and follow-up.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English.
