Implement cost controls and financial control procedures as outlined in construction contracts.
The role assesses variations, contractor claims, interim payment applications, and their impact on project budgets.
Responsibilities
- Measure and assess client variations to construction works and contractor claims for changes.
- Evaluate contractors’ monthly interim payment applications and identify concerns and potential budget impacts.
- Analyze project variations and changes, prepare project reports, and assess budget adjustments.
- Measure works on site and from drawings, including with electronic measurement systems.
- Apply commercial and contractual knowledge within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least five years of career experience.
- Ability to implement commercial and contractual matters within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to analyze project variations, prepare reports, and assess project budget adjustments.
- Ability to measure works on site and from drawings, including competence with electronic measurement systems.
- Ability to interpret contract conditions and assess project risks.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge of the Standard Method of Measurement of construction works.
- Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors chartered status is viewed favorably.
Compensation
