Quantity Surveyor & Estimator

Role overview

Estimation and surveying

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements; prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations; prepare tender submissions, commercial proposals, and pricing schedules.
• Conduct value engineering and cost optimization; prepare BOQs, measure and verify execution quantities, and prepare variations, claims, cost reports, budgets, and cost plans.

Procurement, commercial management, and coordination

• Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors, prepare comparison sheets, recommend vendors, and coordinate procurement requirements.
• Monitor project costs and profitability; prepare monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts; review invoices and payment applications; prepare progress invoices and final accounts.
• Conduct site visits for measurements and project assessment, coordinate with project teams and clients, and attend project meetings as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience in interior fit-out and joinery projects.
• Strong knowledge of fit-out materials, finishes, and construction methods; proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and estimation software.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications; strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• A UAE driving license is an advantage.

Preferred experience

• Retail and F&B fit-out projects; joinery and custom furniture estimation; MEP quantity take-offs and coordination.
• UAE tendering and contract administration practices.
