The Fit Out Engineer supports interior fit-out project delivery through site supervision, technical coordination, quality control, planning, and reporting.
Site supervision and coordination
- Supervise daily interior fit-out site activities and ensure work follows approved shop drawings and project specifications.
- Coordinate foremen, subcontractors, and workers to support site operations and project timelines.
- Review construction drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Coordinate with consultants and project managers for clarifications and approvals and resolve technical issues on site.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers; attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
Quality, planning, materials, and safety
- Ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards; conduct inspections, prepare snag lists, and coordinate consultant inspections and approvals.
- Assist with schedules, monitor progress, report delays or risks, and support timely milestone completion.
- Coordinate material delivery with procurement, check materials against specifications, and monitor usage to avoid waste.
- Ensure safety compliance, conduct regular checks, and ensure workers follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Documentation and reporting
- Prepare daily and weekly site reports and maintain records of progress, inspections, and site instructions.
- Assist with progress claims and variation orders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in interior fit-out or construction projects.
- Knowledge of fit-out materials, joinery works, gypsum, ceiling, flooring, and MEP coordination.
Workplace
- Work location is in person.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 5,000 to AED 7,000 per month.
