Sendian Group seeks a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor for project estimation, cost planning, quantity take-offs, and commercial management.
The role independently manages estimates, drawing and specification analysis, and project costs from tendering through completion.
Work location is in person.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and BOQs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and project requirements to prepare quotations.
- Analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Prepare tender submissions, pricing schedules, and project budgets.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations and negotiate rates.
- Monitor project costs, track variations, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare interim payment applications, variation claims, and final accounts.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors.
- Maintain estimation records, cost reports, and project documentation.
Requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant quantity surveying and project estimation experience.
- Independent experience handling project estimation, BOQs, tendering, and costing.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, market rates, labor costs, and subcontractor pricing.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PlanSwift or similar estimation software, and Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of construction contracts, variation management, and cost control.
- Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills; able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and independent work.
- Qatar construction project experience and immediate joining are preferred.
