HVAC Maintenance Engineer

Role overview

Maintenance and inspections

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive and corrective HVAC maintenance across multiple sites.
• Ensure timely completion of PPM schedules, service requests, and emergency breakdown repairs.
• Oversee split, window, ducted split, package, and free-standing AC units, water coolers, tank cooling systems, and ventilation systems.
• Conduct site inspections, technical assessments, and quality audits of completed maintenance work.
• Diagnose recurring technical faults, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.

Coordination and reporting

• Coordinate with clients, maintenance teams, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and meet service requirements.
• Monitor maintenance performance, contractual KPIs, and service-level agreements.
• Review PPM schedules, breakdown reports, service records, spare-parts requests, and monthly performance reports.
• Monitor spare-parts inventory, assess replacement requirements, and support cost control.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance summaries, and management recommendations.
• Conduct site visits and attend major breakdowns, technical meetings, and client inspections as required.

Experience and education

• A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• At least 3 years of HVAC operations and maintenance experience is required.
• At least 2 years of supervisory, engineering, or maintenance coordination experience is required.
• Experience managing HVAC maintenance across multiple sites is required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis is required.

Registration and technical skills

• MMUP/UPDA registration is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
• Experience with CAFM/CMMS systems, technical reporting, KPI monitoring, and maintenance cost control is required.
• HVAC-related technical certifications are preferred.

Preferred experience and skills

• Facilities management, contract maintenance, or government project experience is highly preferred.
• GCC experience is preferred.
• Leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills are specified.

Compliance

• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, Qatar safety regulations, and applicable technical standards.
