Full-time, live-in Private Family Chef role serving a Qatari family.
Prepare varied meals, plan daily menus, maintain high hygiene and food-quality standards, and adapt food to family preferences and dietary needs.
The ideal candidate is flexible, respectful, well-organized, and experienced in a private household or similar setting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and refreshments; plan daily and weekly menus around family preferences.
- Prepare international and Middle Eastern cuisines and healthy, balanced, high-quality meals; accommodate dietary needs, allergies, and special requests.
- Prepare food for gatherings, guests, and small events; ensure appropriate presentation and portions.
- Manage grocery lists and fresh-ingredient purchases; check quality, freshness, and expiry dates; maintain kitchen and pantry stock.
- Reduce food waste and manage ingredients efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, organized kitchen and follow food-safety, storage, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report maintenance requirements; coordinate with household staff as needed.
- Protect family and household privacy, adapt to meal timings, and support special occasions and family events.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional cooking experience.
- Previous experience as a Private Chef, Family Chef, Hotel Chef, Restaurant Chef, or in a similar position.
- Strong knowledge of different cuisines and cooking techniques; ability to independently plan and prepare complete meals.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety; able to prepare everyday family meals and special-occasion dishes.
- Good organization and time-management skills; clean, professional, respectful, trustworthy, and discreet.
- Able to live with the family full-time.
- Effective English communication is required; Arabic is an advantage.
- Previous Qatar or GCC experience is preferred; strong practical experience specializing in Indian cuisine is highly preferred.
Work arrangement
- Full-time, live-in household role; work location is in person.
