Exhibition Manager – Business Development & Operations

About the role

Business development

• Identify opportunities in exhibitions, trade shows, and corporate events; generate leads and acquire clients.
• Secure profitable exhibition contracts and build relationships with corporate clients, government entities, organizers, and business partners.
• Leverage Qatar and Dubai industry connections to generate projects and expand the client portfolio.
• Prepare proposals, quotations, tenders, and commercial offers; negotiate and finalize agreements.
• Achieve business development and revenue targets.

Exhibition delivery and operations

• Plan and manage exhibitions, trade shows, stands, and corporate events from concept to completion.
• Oversee stand design, fabrication, production, installation, dismantling, and logistics.
• Coordinate designers, production teams, contractors, suppliers, and vendors; maintain a reliable supplier network.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, payment terms, and agreements to support project profitability.
• Manage budgets, schedules, resource allocation, and operational requirements.
• Supervise on-site operations and lead internal teams and external contractors to deliver on time, within budget, and to client expectations.
• Maintain client relationships and monitor market trends, upcoming exhibitions, and business opportunities in Qatar and the UAE.

Experience and expertise

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in exhibition management, event production, exhibition contracting, or business development; Qatar or Dubai experience is preferred.
• Proven track record of generating business, acquiring clients, and securing exhibition contracts.
• Established corporate-client, organizer, supplier, vendor, and contractor network in Qatar and/or Dubai.
• Experience independently generating opportunities, negotiating commercial agreements, and closing high-value contracts.
• Experience managing multiple exhibition projects from initial client discussions through planning, production, installation, and completion.
• Knowledge of stand fabrication, branding, production, audiovisual systems, logistics, and on-site operations.
• Experience with supplier management, costing, budgeting, procurement, quotations, and profitability.

Skills and other requirements

• Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, leadership, and client relationship skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory for professional client meetings and contract negotiations.
• A valid Qatar or UAE driving license is mandatory; willingness to travel for exhibitions, client meetings, and business development is expected.
• Candidates currently based in Qatar or Dubai, UAE, are preferred.

Pay

• Pay is QAR 8,000–10,000 per month.
