Quality Control Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, fabricated components, and finished products.
• Monitor quality during manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, and installation.
• Check work against approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of steel, aluminium, PVC fabric, and other materials.
• Identify defects and non-conformities and ensure corrective action is taken.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, procurement, and project teams to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain inspection reports, checklists, and other quality-control documentation.
• Monitor welding, cutting, drilling, fabrication, assembly, and finishing work.
• Confirm products meet company and client quality standards before dispatch or installation.
• Assist with quality-control procedures and inspection processes.
• Monitor material wastage, defects, and rework; support site inspections and prepare management reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in quality control or quality inspection in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, tents, shades, or a similar industry.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills; good documentation, reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a factory and project-site environment.

Preferred experience and knowledge

• Knowledge of steel and aluminium fabrication is preferred; welding and fabrication inspection knowledge is an advantage.
• UAE experience is preferred.
• Experience in tent manufacturing, car parking shades, tensile structures, steel structures, aluminium or PVC fabrication, welding, or installation is preferred.

Pay

• AED 3,000–4,000 per month.

Work location

• Sharjah, UAE; work is in person.
