Position purpose
Find opportunities to improve quality and productivity.
Serve as a point of contact between quality, production, and engineering.
Responsibilities and duties
- Manage off-tolerance products and analyze fundamental causes.
- Manage quality improvement projects and provide employee training.
- Ensure sensors and measuring instruments are calibrated and adjusted correctly.
- Monitor new products and components in production; produce monthly reports.
- Optimize and standardize machine settings and adjustments, and reduce spoilage.
- Act as official backup for the QC Supervisor.
- Keep specifications current in the quality management system and recommend changes to R&D.
Required qualifications
- College or university degree.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards is an asset.
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
Skills and languages
- Strong analysis and synthesis skills; highly organized.
- Comfortable learning and mastering new software tools.
- Team player with a sense of initiative.
- Excellent written and spoken command of French and English.
Location and work arrangement
- Montreal, Quebec, Canada; the role is not remote.
