About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical and instrumentation QC team, including engineers and inspectors across multiple projects
- Develop and implement Electrical & Instrumentation quality control plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and checklists
- Supervise QC activities for installation and integration of power generation and distribution systems
- Supervise instrumentation installation and testing for sensors, transmitters, control valves, actuators, calibration and loop checking
- Verify material receiving inspections including cables, instruments, panels, and certification compliance
- Review and approve Electrical & Instrumentation quality documentation
- Coordinate and attend Class, Owner, and Third Party inspections
- Support internal and external audits and ensure readiness for client inspections
- Supervise, guide, and mentor QC Electrical & Instrumentation inspectors
- Ensure systems readiness in line with new building milestones and commissioning plans
- Prepare daily/weekly QC reports and system status updates for management
- Oversee preparation and submission of final quality documentation and dossiers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering or equivalent
- Training and certification on Electrical and Instrumentation (ATEX/CompEx)
- At least 9 12 years’ experience in quality works of marine engineering industries (ship & rig buildings)
- At least 5 years in a managerial position
- English proficiency
- Arabic is beneficial

Job Purpose / Objective
- To lead and manage all Electrical & Instrumentation construction related activities (Fabrication / Installation) are safely, effectively, and efficiently carried out in accordance with applicable technical requirements, company policies, procedures, and the Management System requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the electrical and instrumentation QC team, including engineers and inspectors across multiple projects.
- Develop and implement Electrical & Instrumentation quality control plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and checklists.
- Supervise QC activities for installation and integration of Power generation and distribution systems (generators, switchboards, transformers), Main and emergency switchboards, MCCs, UPS, batteries.
- Supervise instrumentation installation and testing for Sensors, transmitters (pressure, temperature, flow, level), Control valves and actuators, Calibration and loop checking.
- Verify material receiving inspections including cables, instruments, panels, and certification compliance.
- Review and approve Electrical & Instrumentation quality documentation, including material certificates, inspection reports, and NCRs.
- Coordinate and attend Class, Owner, and Third Party inspections.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure readiness for client inspections.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor QC Electrical & Instrumentation inspectors.
- Ensure systems readiness in line with new building milestones and commissioning plans.
- Prepare daily / weekly QC reports and system status updates for management.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of final quality documentation and dossiers for piping works.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical & Instrumentation engineering or equivalent.
- Training and certification on Electrical and Instrumentation (ATEX/CompEx).
- At least 9 12 years’ experience in quality works of marine engineering industries (ship & rig buildings) of which 5 must have been in a managerial position.
- English; Arabic is beneficial.
