About the Role

Responsibilities
- Perform NDT tests such as Ultrasonic Testing, Radiographic, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Visual Inspections, Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing and Time of Flight Diffraction Ultrasonic Testing
- Monitor NDT operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices
- Assist NDT Technician in setting up and calibrating NDT equipment
- Assist in maintenance and upkeep of NDT equipment
- Allocate resources for NDT projects
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of NDT activities
- Provide guidance, training, and support to NDT technicians and inspectors
- Verify structural material identity and conformance to installation drawings and specifications
Requirements
- Diploma in a relevant field
- NDT Level II certification in UT, PT, MT, RT, PAUT & TOFD
- ISO 9001:2015 auditor or lead auditor certification
- Minimum 9 years of experience in quality works of marine engineering industries
- English proficiency
- Arabic is beneficial

Job Purpose / Objective
- Perform examination of welds / material by Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and Time of Flight Diffraction Ultrasonic Testing (TOFD) based upon code and contractual specification.
- Determine conformity / non conforming flaws and report accurately.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform NDT Tests Such as Ultrasonic Testing, Radiographic, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Visual Inspections, Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing and Time of Flight Diffraction Ultrasonic Testing.
- Monitor NDT operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry’s best practices.
- Assist the NDT Technician in setting up and calibrating NDT equipment according to established procedures.
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of NDT equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, for NDT projects.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of NDT activities to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to standards.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to NDT technicians and inspectors to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Verify structural material identity (plate, beam, angle etc.) and its conformance to the installation drawings and required specification.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in a relevant field.
- NDT Level II (i.e., PCN, CSWIP, ASNT etc.) qualification in (UT, PT, MT, RT, PAUT & TOFD).
- ISO 9001:2015 auditor or lead auditor certification.
- Additional Level II methods will be considered added advantage.
- Minimum of 9 years’ experience, relating to quality works of marine engineering industries (Jacket structure, ship & rig buildings).
- English; Arabic is beneficial.
