Job Purpose And Objective
To lead and manage all Mechanical related activities (Equipment receiving / Installation) are safely, effectively, and efficiently carried out in accordance with applicable technical requirements, company policies,
procedures, and the Management System requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the Mechanical QC team, including engineers, inspectors across multiple projects.
- Develop and implement Mechanical quality control plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and checklists.
- Ensure all mechanical work comply with contract specifications, approved drawings, Class Rules, Flag, and IMO requirements.
- Review and approve quality documentation, including equipment certificates, inspection reports, and NCRs.
- Supervise QC activities for new installation and integration Main engines, auxiliary engines Pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, Pumps etc.
- Ensure correct installation, alignment, and workmanship prior to system closing and testing
- Ensure Preservation of all project equipment is carried out as per Company standard as well as Vendor’s recommendation.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for mechanical nonconformities.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure readiness for client inspections.
- Mentor and train QC personnel in Mechanical inspection techniques and standards.
- Lead the development and implementation of digital tools for piping quality tracking and reporting.
- Ensure traceability of piping materials and components from procurement through installation.
- Represent the QC division in project review meetings, client audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of final quality documentation and dossiers for Mechanical works.

- Drive initiatives for reducing rework and improving first-time quality performance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards during quality inspections.
Education
- bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations)
- Welding Inspection Cert. (CSWIP 3.1/AWS-CWI or equivalent)
- ISO 9001:2015 Auditor or Lead Auditor Certification.
- Certification in any Mechanical and other quality related field will be considered an added advantage.
Experience
- At least 9 - 12 years’ experience in Rig building/Shipbuilding quality functions, of which 5 must have been in a managerial position.

- English
- Arabic is beneficial
