QC Inspector – Instrumentation role focused on quality control and inspection of instrumentation work.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant instrumentation quality control and inspection experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, LNG, or industrial construction.
- Experience in EPC projects, plant construction, shutdowns, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Valid QC Inspector certification is preferred; CompEx, ATEX, ISA, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards, project specifications, and quality management systems.
- Strong attention to detail, reporting, communication, coordination, quality, safety, and compliance.
Technical skills
- Read P&IDs, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, wiring and termination drawings, instrument indexes, data sheets, and control system architecture drawings.
- Inspect transmitters, temperature and flow instruments, level instruments, control valves, analyzers, Fire & Gas, PLC, DCS, ESD, and SIS systems.
- Inspect calibration and loop checking, cable installations and terminations, junction boxes, marshalling cabinets, tubing, impulse lines, and field instrument installations.
- Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) activities.
Key responsibility
- Conduct inspections in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
