QAQC - Infrastructure

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor QA/QC procedures and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Check infrastructure works against approved drawings, specifications, and standards; review contractor Inspection Requests, Material Inspection Requests, method statements, and other quality documents.
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits; identify non-conformities, initiate corrective and preventive actions, and monitor closure.
• Coordinate quality issue resolution with project managers, site engineers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor material, laboratory, and field testing; oversee quality controls for roads, asphalt, concrete, earthworks, and road subgrade, sub-base, and base course.
• Monitor installation and testing of water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, and other underground services; verify materials meet project and authority requirements.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, and project documentation; ensure compliance with ISO 9001, project quality plans, and client requirements.
• Liaise with relevant UAE authorities, participate in site meetings, reviews, inspections, and handover, and provide technical guidance to site teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Seven to ten years of relevant QA/QC experience in infrastructure construction; mandatory experience in roads, utilities, and related infrastructure works.
• Strong knowledge of UAE infrastructure standards, QA/QC procedures, ISO 9001 quality management systems, and relevant international construction codes.
• Familiarity with RTA, Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and other relevant authority requirements.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and quality documentation; knowledge of material, laboratory, and field testing.
• Strong coordination, documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Consultant or supervision firm experience is preferred; relevant QA/QC certifications are an advantage.

Work setting

• The role includes regular site inspections and oversight of infrastructure construction works.
