Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai for QA/QC Engineers with a strong background in contracting and a minimum of 5 years of experience, specifically on high-rise building projects.
The role involves developing and implementing quality assurance and quality control procedures, inspecting construction works and materials, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
The QA/QC Engineer will review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans, and material submittals, while coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
Daily responsibilities include conducting site audits, preparing quality reports, monitoring corrective and preventive actions, and supporting continuous improvement in construction processes.
The role also requires close collaboration with client representatives and consultants to maintain agreed quality benchmarks throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Strong Quality Assurance and Quality Control skills, including developing and implementing QA/QC procedures and standards.
- Experience in Quality Auditing and Quality Management, including internal audits, documentation control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Hands-on Inspection experience in high-rise building projects, covering materials, workmanship, and installation activities.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in QA/QC roles within the contracting sector, preferably focused on high-rise construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, international standards, and local regulatory requirements in the GCC.
- Proficiency in preparing technical reports, inspection records, and quality documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional project teams.
- Knowledge of QA/QC software tools and MS Office; experience with project management or construction management systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Dubai and adapt to fast-paced project environments.
