Role Overview

We are hiring a QA Lead who is a strong programmer first, tester second.

This is not a manual testing coordination role.

We expect:

• Strong hands-on coding expertise
• Automation framework architecture capability
• AI-assisted automation practices
• Cloud-native testing exposure
• CI/CD-integrated validation

You should be capable of writing production-grade automation code and designing scalable test architecture.

Core Responsibilities

Strong Coding & Framework Engineering (Critical)

Must have strong programming expertise in at least one:

• Java
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• Python

Responsibilities include:

• Design automation framework from scratch
• Build reusable test libraries
• Implement clean coding standards in automation
• Apply OOP principles in automation architecture
• Write modular, maintainable test code
• Implement error-handling strategies
• Create utility functions & helpers
• Review automation code for quality

Expected skills:

• OOP & design patterns
• REST API handling
• JSON parsing
• Data-driven testing frameworks
• Test data management scripting
• Logging framework integration
• Git version control mastery

2️ Automation Engineering

Hands-on experience with:

• Selenium / Cypress / Playwright
• REST API automation (RestAssured / Postman automation)
• Mobile automation (Appium)
• BDD frameworks (Cucumber preferred)
• Unit testing frameworks (JUnit / Jest / Mocha)

Responsibilities:

• Achieve high automation coverage
• Parallel execution setup
• Build scalable regression suite
• Reduce flaky tests
• Implement reporting dashboards

3️ AI-Driven QA Engineering

Must demonstrate practical use of AI tools:

• AI-assisted test case generation
• AI-generated test data
• Self-healing locators
• Using tools like Copilot / Claude / Cursor for code generation
• AI-driven log analysis
• AI-based regression prioritization

Expectation:

Use AI as productivity multiplier, not dependency.

4️ Cloud-Native Application Testing

Strong understanding of cloud fundamentals:

• VM-based deployments
• Containerized apps (Docker)
• Kubernetes basics
• Microservices testing
• API gateway validation
• Environment configuration testing
• Load testing in distributed systems

Should understand:

• How cloud scaling impacts performance
• Auto-scaling validation
• Failover testing
• Deployment verification

5️ CI/CD & DevOps Integration

• Integrate automation into pipelines
• Write scripts for pipeline triggers
• Validate builds automatically
• Debug pipeline failures
• Work closely with DevOps teams

Exposure to:

• GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins
• Docker basics
• Pipeline debugging

6️ Performance & Reliability Engineering

• Load testing using JMeter
• Concurrency validation
• Memory leak identification
• API stress testing
• Latency benchmarking

7️ Leadership & Governance

• Mentor QA engineers
• Conduct code reviews
• Define QA standards
• Improve test architecture maturity
• Implement defect root cause analysis
