A hospitality employer seeks an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement, supplier management, receiving, and inventory.
The role aims to keep purchasing cost-effective, efficient, and aligned with operational and financial standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing and procurement under company policies and approved procedures; maintain approved supplier relationships and identify sourcing opportunities.
- Source products, negotiate pricing and terms, monitor markets, and process operational purchasing requests and market lists.
- Prepare accurate purchase orders and monitor budgets, securing approvals for out-of-budget requirements.
- Oversee receiving and check deliveries against quality, quantity, and specification standards; coordinate outstanding deliveries.
- Track supplier price changes and identify savings; maintain purchasing records, invoices, and supporting documents.
- Support stock checks, inventory variance investigations, and accurate purchasing and inventory system updates.
- Coordinate with Finance and operations on cost control; support purchasing procedures and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager, or similar role in hospitality.
- Restaurant, hotel, hospitality group, or similar high-end hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality purchasing, procurement, supplier management, inventory processes, F&B products, and hospitality supply chains.
- Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing commercial relationships; strong financial awareness and budget and cost-control experience.
- Proficiency in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and accuracy; strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
- Fluency in English and Turkish is required; UAE hospitality experience is preferred.
