Job purpose
Procure materials, spare parts, equipment, and components required by NAFFCO’s Trucks & Vehicles Department.
Support vehicle manufacturing, assembly, modification, and related operations by securing competitive prices and timely delivery.
Candidates with local purchase or foreign/international purchase experience may be considered.
Purchasing responsibilities
- Receive and review purchase requisitions from the Trucks & Vehicles Department.
- Source vehicle-related materials locally and internationally; obtain quotations and compare prices and suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment and delivery terms, and other commercial terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, follow up on deliveries, and maintain current status for pending orders.
- Procure truck and vehicle spare parts, chassis and mechanical components, electrical and electronic components, tools, equipment, and workshop consumables.
- Check that purchases meet technical specifications, approved brands, and quality standards; consult technical teams to clarify specifications.
Foreign and local purchasing
- For foreign purchasing, source overseas vehicle parts, chassis components, equipment, and materials and coordinate quotations, proforma invoices, purchase orders, and shipment schedules with international vendors.
- For local purchasing, source automotive and engineering materials from UAE suppliers and distributors, obtain quotations for urgent production and maintenance needs, and identify alternative sources for urgent or discontinued materials.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain, logistics, business administration, mechanical engineering, automobile engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in automotive, trucks, commercial vehicles, vehicle manufacturing, heavy equipment, spare parts, or engineering is highly preferred.
- ERP or procurement system experience is an advantage.
- Ability to handle multiple requirements and work within production deadlines.
