Responsibilities
- Source and purchase construction materials, tools, equipment, and other project requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of building materials including cement, steel, concrete, blocks, tiles, paints, plumbing, electrical, and finishing materials.
- Compare supplier quotations to support competitive pricing and quality.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers and Project Managers on project material requirements.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery to project sites.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare purchase orders and maintain purchasing records and documentation.
- Verify material specifications, quantities, and quality before confirming orders.
- Maintain supplier relationships and coordinate with accounts and site teams on invoices, deliveries, and pending orders.
- Ensure purchases comply with company procedures and project requirements.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Freshers or candidates with 0–1 year of purchasing or procurement experience are welcome.
- Strong knowledge of building and construction materials is essential.
- Good negotiation, communication, and organizational skills are required.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office is required.
- Applicants must be able to compare quotations, analyze prices, and manage multiple purchase requests.
- UAE construction industry knowledge is an advantage.
Pay
- Pay is AED 3,000–3,500 per month.
