Job purpose
Prepare turnkey project work programs using guidance from project or estimation managers and monitor delivery against the plan and specified timeframe.
Planning and scheduling
- Prepare work programs covering construction process durations, including procurement, mobilization, installation, and manpower requirements.
- Prepare master project schedules during tender and submit plans to construction teams and clients for review and approval.
- Monitor project processes with construction managers and planning engineers, and report progress variations and their causes.
Progress, coordination, and cost tracking
- Attend monthly project reviews and prepare management reports, including reviews based on site visits and project progress.
- Investigate delays, report achievements against the program, and suggest corrective actions.
- Coordinate design submissions and procurement lead times; track long-lead materials from purchasing and subcontractors.
- Provide monthly progress updates to quantity surveyors for progress and variation invoices.
- Prepare critical path analyses, impact programs for extensions of time, and labor budget-versus-actual reports for turnkey and joinery projects.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering.
- Good working knowledge of Primavera or MS Project.
- Four years of relevant experience in fit-out, joinery, or civil projects.
- Good knowledge of construction processes; fit-out experience is preferred.
- Attention to detail and concern for time.
