Prepare turnkey project work programs using guidance from the Project Manager or Estimation Manager and monitor progress against the plan to support completion within the specified timeframe.
Functional responsibilities
- Prepare work programs covering construction-process durations, including procurement, mobilization, installation, and manpower requirements.
- Prepare master schedules and tender-stage plans for construction teams and clients to review and approve where required.
- Monitor project progress with construction managers or planning engineers and report progress and schedule variations.
- Attend monthly project reviews, prepare management reports, and review project progress reports using site visits and progress reviews.
- Investigate delays and recommend corrective actions; coordinate design submissions and procurement lead times.
- Track long-lead materials with the purchase department and subcontractors; provide monthly updates to quantity surveyors for progress and variation invoices.
- Prepare critical path analyses and impact programs for Extension of Time assessments.
- Prepare labor budget-versus-actual reports for turnkey and joinery projects and report labor-cost deviations.
Job requirements
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering and good working knowledge of Primavera or MS Project are essential.
- Four years of relevant experience in fit-out, joinery, or civil projects.
- Construction-business knowledge through formal training or at least 2–4 years of construction experience; fit-out experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of construction processes.
- Attention to detail and concern for time.
