Prepare AutoCAD drawings based on details provided by principals, clients, and consultants during project brief.
Essential roles and responsibilities
- Prepare AutoCAD plans, sections, details, specifications, and schedules within the required timeframe.
- Incorporate client or consultant changes to support approval.
- Survey sites and prepare accurate as-built drawings.
- Explain drawing details to facilitate timely project execution.
- Liaise with architects, project managers, and quantity surveyors about design document information.
- Provide additional design information during project development.
- Follow established computer protocols and coordinate drawing layout, style, and presentation.
- Check deliverables for accuracy and compliance with requirements, variations, and amendments.
- Review sketches, drawings, and specifications and develop drawings from concept to working drawings.
Skills and experience
- Have 3–5 years of AutoCAD experience, preferably in construction or interior fit-out projects.
- Hold a Diploma in Architecture.
- Demonstrate excellent-level AutoCAD proficiency.
- BIM experience is preferred.
- Have good knowledge of construction and engineering details.
- Be proficient in spoken and written English.
- Coordinate design details across trades, including MEP, and produce clear shop drawings.
- Work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Understand current industry trends, materials, and finishes.
