Project Manager- Fit Out

Job purpose

Project planning and site management

• Take overall responsibility for assigned fit-out project delivery.
• Review scope, drawings, specifications, BOQs, contracts, and programmes; develop and monitor execution plans and construction schedules.
• Set priorities, milestones, manpower needs, and resource allocation; monitor progress and implement corrective or recovery plans.
• Lead project and site teams; coordinate daily site activities, sequencing, manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Monitor productivity, conduct site inspections and progress meetings, and maintain housekeeping and site organization.

Client and technical coordination

• Serve as the primary project contact for clients and consultants; attend meetings, resolve issues, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Obtain required approvals, inspections, and clearances; communicate progress, risks, delays, and critical issues to management.
• Coordinate design, drafting, and technical teams and ensure construction drawings are issued on time.
• Review drawings for constructability; coordinate architectural, MEP, joinery, civil, and other specialist works; raise RFIs and technical queries as needed.
• Use the latest approved drawings and coordinate design changes and their programme and cost impacts.

Procurement and subcontractors

• Coordinate material procurement, requirements, submittals, samples, long-lead items, suppliers, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure delivered materials meet approved specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors and monitor performance, productivity, quality, programme, and compliance with project requirements.
• Resolve coordination issues among subcontractors and internal teams and report delays or performance concerns.

Commercial control and quality

• Monitor costs against approved budgets and control waste, rework, overtime, and unnecessary expenditure.
• Coordinate with QS/commercial teams on variations, claims, and additional works; document variations for approval.
• Identify potential cost savings without compromising quality and monitor supplier and subcontractor commitments.
• Ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections, close inspection comments and NCRs, minimize rework, and arrange required mock-ups, samples, and prototypes.

Health and safety

• Ensure compliance with UAE health and safety requirements and project-specific HSE procedures.
• Ensure site teams and subcontractors follow applicable safety requirements and coordinate inspections and corrective actions with the HSE team.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, technical knowledge, and commercial awareness.
• Ability to coordinate clients, consultants, designers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams effectively.
• Ability to deliver fit-out projects to approved budgets, programmes, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
