Project Manager – Data Centres

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage data centre projects from initiation through completion and maintain client relationships and regular communication.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans; monitor progress against objectives and deliverables.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams and design coordination across internal and external subconsultants and subject matter experts.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, health and safety requirements, and client expectations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, authorities, contractors, consultants, and other third parties.
• Support design assurance and technical governance; assist with approvals, permits, and stakeholder agreements.
• Review deliverables for quality and project compliance; prepare reports and updates for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support commercial management, including cost control, change management, and contract administration.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and project management best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, project management, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of project management experience within a design practice.
• Experience managing data centre projects through multiple delivery phases.
• Strong client-facing experience, preferably within consultancy, engineering, or project delivery.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, project management, governance, and reporting capabilities.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, risks, and quality requirements.
• Proven record of successful delivery and meeting client expectations.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent professional certification is advantageous.
